Well in my experience, in the real world, it doesn't fall into place like that. But it would be nice if it did. I wouldn't do wall fishes for $10 myself, but your point is understood! If you can stack the codes and the line item prices for them are decent, and you get a green light to replace A/O's, one can do OK.

I haven't run across specs being different for an analog A/O versus a digital A/O, which creates the situation where in many systems the MSO tends to balk at paying for a replaced A/O. In today's world, quite often the MSO will say the A/O was already there and must have been working fine, because the subscriber wasn't barking about it. So if you replace it, they remove it from your billing. And if you don't replace it, when a service call is generated they charge you back for it. So you can't win either way. Sorry to be negative, but quite often that's the real world of Cable TV installs today!
