Re: Credit check????

I don't agree with that. As an example, a guy named Bernie Madoff was a multi-millionaire before he even started his ponzi scheme. Whether you're rich or poor, or life has been going good or bad for you, honesty has more to do with moral character, then your current economic status.

A lot of people have relatives or even well off friends bail them out of financial difficulty, thereby saving their credit picture, where many others don't have that option. It takes years to build good credit, and only one late payment to destroy it.

I won't even apply at anyplace that wants to run a credit check. And when a company does run a credit check, it lowers your credit score just by doing that. It sure would be horrible to have to pay an extra 1% higher rate on the entire life of a mortgage, just because some BS company wanted to run a credit check on you.

And one more point, as far as a credit check goes. Even running for, or obtaining, the office of President of the United States, doesn't require a credit check. Why should some cable job, or any other job for that matter.

JMHO for what it's worth.
