And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Revelation 13:16-18

The number translates to 666.
Quoting from "Wilmington's Guide To The Bible", "We are convinced that when the last and great antichrist appears, the true believers of the entire world will recognize him. The Holy Spirit will give to them enough light to calculate unanimously the number of his name." (Rene Pache, "The Return of Jesus Christ, p. 183)

"Probably the simplest explanation here is the best, that the triple six is the number of a man, each digit falling short of the perfect number seven. Six in the Scripture is man's number. He was to work six days and rest the seventh. The image of Nebuchadneezer was sixty cubits high and six cubits broad, Whatever may be the deeper meaning of the number, it implies that this title, referring to the first beast, Satan's masterpiece, limits him to man's level, which is far short of the deity of Jesus Christ." It talks about Biblical prophesies that are unfolding, in these times, and how close we really are to having the stage set for the rapture, tribulation, and ultimately the end of times as we know them.
