Did you get a chance to mention that you had the expences. Did you mention you had no pension, medical insurance, and that you pay your WC insurance. DId you mention that, you dont get that check if the guy that pays you doens't get paid. or simply doesn't want to pay. Did you mentioin that your rates haven't gone up in over 25 years. You probably didn't.......
Everyone knows, or should already know, the baggage that comes with those big 1099 checks. Just like the 1099 document itself, the check stub of 1099 worker does NOT tell the whole story. I will work 1099 or W2. Makes me no difference. But the vast majority of 1099 agreements in this industry are just a joke and I wouldn't touch them.
