Yes,,,,,,,more specifically though the problem is in the orders being filled. Folks might have plenty of glass on the ground, but the problem is getting more.
In the beginning of this thing, most MSO's were asked to project their fiber needs for the year on a monthly basis. As such they are able to order against that, but no more than that. There is a real demand at this time.
An interesting note:
Corning was building a new plant to meet the new demands. Somehow they mis-interpreted the indices or our industry and stopped the construction. Well after a a quarter goes by, they realize that they were not going to meet demands and therefore resumed construction on the factory. At this time they are working out of a half built factory.
As long as MSO's plan right and fiber cablers manage things right, we should be ok. Of course the more powerful MSO's will always get what they need first.
