ladder lineman? isn't that an oxymoron? LOL   climb the lay-up stix or climb the pole and use a power roller to get to where you need to be at midspan. that's how i was taught, and i hate walkin to the truck to get a ladder. ladders are for splicing amps rear easement and for installers.  just my opinion...
