i have no clue what the going rate is in other areas - i'm just commenting on what i get as a first sub, splicer.  the going rates i get are about average for the houston market and that is where i work.  they asked about rates, and i gave my input.  i would always love to get better money for my job, but have three kids at home (one with special needs) so i can't really get into road-warrior life where the money is good enough to chase.   hell hookman, are you still in north texas doing the fiber gig you can't get help on? if so, i'll bring my truck and crew to help ya - LMAO...  sounds like good money for the runnin!!!
