Matt, There is hope for you,
Contractors do not have office managers to demand anything. Employees have office managers that can demand whatever they want because they are paying for it.
Stick to that idea that "work is not free."
If you feel you will be penalized for refusing to do things for an office manager you are experiencing contractor misclasification. Why not charge subscribers? You do what is in your contract for your customer. You can have more than one. Try telling someone who wants to hire you that you are not allowed to work for them...because the are Jewish or African Americans or not from around here. Let them call your "manager" for an explanation.
Keep up the good work....all you have to loose is your chains.
