All cable companies cut pay and add more to the job description at least every 6 months to a year. When I started doing voice upgrades for Cablevision it paid out over 120 to replace the modem and plug in a phone for residential. Whole house connects and alarms were extra, now it's more like about $30 with the WHC and alarm included and you had better bring the entire job up to spec for that price as well. And now they want you to be certified to make less.
