The more corporatism that exists in America the more people will turn to organized labor in order to compete.

Industry used to not be allowed to pollute my air.  They went in business with government and they can legally pollute my air up to a certain level.

Bankers used to not be allowed to control the money supply.  They went into business with government and they have a monopoly on money in federal reserve stock certificates (aka dollars)

Insurance has gone in business with government to create larger insurance pools with the force of law.

It goes on and on and on.  Business lobbying government to restrict competition.  As long as corporatism prevails in America and not the free market the best choice American labor has is to exercise protectionism by organizing.
