I also agree that some reform is in need. The problem I have is that is becomes so complicated that no one can understand how it's going to be done.
I was looking back at all the things that my wife and myself have had done this year. What I find troubling is that if I have something done and my deductible is not met the doctor charges me 30%-40% more than what the agreed rate the insurance company has to pay. If I have something done that cost $1000 I have to pay $1000 but if I my deductible is met and I have something done for the same amount the Dr and insurance company settle for $600. Why is that? Things like this are what I think need to be changed. I shouldn't have to pay any more for a procedure than an insurance company pays and neither should anyone else.
