why would a cable guy use sat lines in the first place? my experience has shown me that the power (even tho it is low voltage 13 - 18 volt) running thru the sat lines to juice the LNB for receiving sigs degrades the RG6 lines. therefore anytime i have done installs where sats were used on the line customer wants to use for HSI i explain prob to sub and have them replace it during install. if it is a trouble call with possibilities of this prob i will explain and tell customer it needss replaced. why screw around with doing a halfway install in the first place when its gonna get back-charged for truble call after install? that would just make you look like a dumb person for putting yourself out on the limb in the first place ! do it right the first time and there are no issues to follow up on .
