Thanks for the info & specs. You are right about running the line but from time to time, especially on large buildings (tract mansions) you are talking about major interior runs to get the the IRD & home theater. In these cases I would explain exactly what you posted and sell a drop box for the BBC & the diplexers OR charge to run the line.
I also note on the tract mansion jobs the interior luns far exceed the suggested distance from the LNB to the HD IRD,
So you end up looking at a Ka/Ku dish, a BBC. a sonora amp, a 6x 16 or two, long cable runs &, finally a receiver.
All that on just one of several runs. Troubleshooting that mess makes the offered thirty dollars per service call an insult.
For the rest of the world, as you correctly pointed out......+1...run the damn line!
