If I present 6 different ways to wrap a cable line on that customer's home and he disagrees with them all ....Then what big man?? Only two options left, he moves to a new dwelling, or I don't do the install.
A Professional installer does NOT dictate one particular path for installation. A professional's job is to identify ALL installation options before he starts, then present those options to the homeowner in best-to-worse, then let the homeowner ask questions and choose for himself. This eliminates the "..Oh.. I thought you were going to run it this way." game which forces you to wreck out the line you just put in, only to now run it a different way because you did not educate the customer before you started.
Now if you think I'm going to let you come into my home and tell me I only have one option on running a line, expect to be rescheduled on. I'll get someone else out to work WITH me on how the cable goes into my home.
Hope that clears up any misunderstanding.
