signal is signal. And digital is digital. They are in 'haystacks' and if you run another signal on top of one of those haystacks you will knock the picture out. Some diplexers are not designed for voltage. A line diplexer is one that will. Again the diplexer is for combining high and low signals usually one for return and one for forward.
