Actually.........
The Ka/Ku LNBs have four ports. one each of the first four receivers. Current and signal go out and back in a circuit on each line with a multiswitch built into the LNB. TO ADD a fifth receiver all four ports are connected to a 6x8 or 6x16 multiswitch.
So you get no more than four lines from the dish to the multiswitch or x4 groundblock. From the multiswitch the lines branch out.....
There is more. Next time we have a campfire I will tell everyone about Single Wire Multiswitches...but enough for tonight...lights out in five minutes.
