I started doing Directv installs around here because in rural areas there are not a lot of choices. I was home while my son was growing up and even had good times taking him along on jobs. Now that he is off in college my wife just gets angry when I mention anything having to do with installations. "I am glad you won your court case you idiot! Why do you even consider working for a bunch of assholes that need to be sued to pay their contractors?"
Around here I thought I could protect myself from crooks by just making sure tp avoid MASTEC. IF you travel around you are going to have to avoid ALL the HSPs but they seem to have the bulk of the work. How are you going to hang around for court cases to come up? Where do you plan to park an RV and a personal vehicle and a work truck? What will the wife do every day...install jobs?
Don't do it...get out of installation...the money has left the building.
