RadioMan said it all.
Get off your asses and do the job right. A diplexer was intended to connect an antenna or BASIC cable signals to the TV. This was back before the satellite companies had the rights to local broadcasting in the major cities. They had to rights for people that were 100+ miles from any major city.
Like RadioMan said do the damn job right!
