Good question. One I wish I could answer. I am not sure them republicans wanted a conservative and thought they could be Democrat light which is why McCain was their guy. But that backfired when conservatives didn't want a light dem. One reason maybe. I don't think the next election will be the same way for the republicans. And it wasn't a loud noise as far as the amount of people that voted for Obama. Barely over half and I don't call that loud. I would be surprised if he gets re-elected...but I have been surprised before.
