I go to my local recycler and he gives me gaylord pallets, the boxes on top of a pallet. Back when I did CATV I had a trailer with 2 boxes for feeder, 1 for strand, one for ground wire and one for drop cable. Every week off it would go.
If you have large volumes, when I did wreck out for Comcast we used a company that brought out a specialized compactor truck that used a sea container for a bin. He would pick it up with a crane load it in and the truck would compact the cable into the sea container. Pay varied based on the metals market.
