I worked down in the valley for a year or so. McAllen, Brownsville, Rio Grande City. If you do decide to venture into Mexico from Harlingen DO NOT go by yourself and be very weary of taxi drivers offering to take you to the strip clubs LOL. South Padre Island is not far from where you are going. I reckon you can get some fresh seafood there.
