Had the same boom. We had to run a piece of cable from the bucket back to the cab to get the intercom. Took a day to get it into the track and secured, all of the parts are off the shelf from any security or elecctronics store. Hard wire is the only way that it will pass osha.

And I agree with speedlasher, you have a leaky cylinder. And it might be as simple as a couple of O rings to repair it. They are internal on the piston. The one side that holds you when you would lean foreward are not the rings that hold the bucket stowed. Once you open the cylinders, it will be easy to tell if that is the problem. Usually a cut or twisted ring.
