Re: mastec

I worked for Mastec for three years in the directv side installing and servicing satellite. I had two of the damndest managers you ever want to come across, it was DO the job i don't care what the problem is just get it done type mentallity, But i will say this, I did my jobs to the best of my ability and kept my mouth shut and limited my complaining until there really was something to complain about, it took about 6-8 months before they knew that when i started to bitch that there really must be a problem and by the end of the year i had NO problems with either of them at all. I will also say this, if you leave yourself open for abuse by not walking the walk and only talking the talk they would shred you to pieces, i let my work speak for itself and my temper out just enough to let them know i wasn't taking shit from no one., I made sure i protected myself with pictures and did all my paperwork with the thought of covering my ass, I noted everything and anything that i thought may be a problem on every job. I have seen them two bring tech's to tears by demoralizing every piece of integrity they had before throwing them out the door. I guess what i'm trying to say is do your job, do it right and make them aware that you are an asset to them by the work you do and by the way you carry yourself. Aint much differant than the schoolyard bully, turn and bust him in the mouth the first time and the abuse usually comes to a halt, keep cowering and complaining about it and it never goes away. After the prices and the backcharges went to hell, i didn't complain about it, I quit and found work elsewhere. This industry will NEVER change with the whining and bickering you all do. If you really want change it's really up to each of you. FIND ANOTHER JOB!!!!
