Does anyone know why DirecTV has mandated this.
Effective immediately, 6x16 multi-switches are no longer available or approved for DIRECTV installations. Installations with 9 or more tuners will require the use of two (2) wide-band 6x8 (WB68) multi-switches. Under no circumstances should a technician ever cascade two 6x8 multi-switches off of another 6x8 multi-switch.
