Bugnuts are supposed to go 6" into the loop. They are actually supposed to go right above the bottom dogleg of the far side of all expansion loops.....input or output. If it is a no cut pole, or fiber only, the placement of the input bugnut (no cut pole) should be within 12" of the center of the bitch clamp (depending on the MSO that is, some want 6"), and both input and output bugnuts should be the same as on the input of a no cut on a fiber only run.
Just an FYI, the second PM was right. As for the first PM and the 4 bugnuts / 2 wires theory, he's clueless.
