The problem is there are only a few MSO's now, and they dictate the prices. In the good old day's there were hundreds of cable companies and they paid well. If you bid on a job for Comcast now, they may give you the work, but they tell you what they'll pay. (ex. Atl taps @$18ea.)
The only way this will change is if somehow we get real busy and supply of labor doesn't meet the demand for it. Capitalism folks.
