The Republicans had this for 8 years. Thats true, but true conservatives didn't. Thats why the Rep. party is in such disarray. It has happened to both parties. Good decent dems are not as far left as thier party leaders are by a long shot, and I think that behind the scenes the Dem party is in as much if not more disarray as the Reps. are.     Conservatism works every single time it is APPLIED.       The problem is we haven't seen it APPLIED in far too long. Conservative ideas are the answer, not Republican or Democrat B.S. We need a third party that would involve both sides R's and D's to go against the hard left in power now and put the brakes on before it's too late.     The problem with a third party is it would take too long to gain any traction and would ultimately fail. Just look at Ross Perot, he stirred up mostly conservatives as I remember it anyway and took votes from HW. and gave us Clinton. (not stickin up for HW, just sayin) Therefor conservatives must look to the republican party for leadership, and we're not seeing not really seeing it right now.
