I was getting a late start that day, too. I had worked until midnight the night before. I was getting my truck ready to roll, when one of my guys called me and said that the two planes had hit the twin towers and one hit the Pentagon. My first reaction was, "Yeah, right. You need to quit smoking that $hit." I wish that would have been the end of that conversation. Needless to say, my truck didn't roll that day. I sat in shock for the next 24 hours.
