We had a local story that started exactly like yours...guy comes home & finds his wife and a neighbor alone in the basement. He goes out to the shed & brings back his rifle, shooting the guy and killing him = 30 years to life.
I mention the other story in order to say ,,,this stuff happens.
What is common to your story and the other one is the violent response. You are not being punished by employers for beating the crap out of a guy who ran around with your woman. Employers are declining to take a chance on you because there is a fair chance you will resort to violence again if a customer gets in your face.
If it helps...employers won't easily take a chance on others who respond the same way. And no it is not fair. There are plenty of people who would have problems reacting to the hurt and anger you experienced...they just never got tested.
