You should take over, then you'll know what it's like to get screwed into the ground by the MSO's. Why do you think the primes put out the pie in the sky BS all the time. Because over the years they have watched the payout for piece work slowly vaporize and know the honest truth about what a sub will really make after expenses just will not cut it in the means of attracting decent installers. The real $$$ we used to make years and years ago was sufficient to attract people who actually knew what the were doing. Now it's slim pickings for any type of talent, so all they have left to hire are complete Noob's who know nothing about the industry and are actually in awe of the BS the primes throw at them about "how much my top techs are making". We who have heard that line repeatedly have just got tired of it and have for the most part walked away from a once great source of income.
