I will say that I love my superbuddy. Got two of them as a matter of fact. The superbuddy will show so much more than the birdog does.
You can switch all the transponders to see different levels. The 99/103 are ka so it will not give a normal value but it will show db value and when you get used to it that works just as well. Now on another side to your problem what lnb are you using? Some of the new kaku3 lnbs are junk straight out. The one in specific is dtv own. The wnc or eagle aspen generally peak fine. Another way to see if your dish is in good
is use a 5lnb to check the 101/99/103 and 110/119. If the mast is plumb and the settings(tilt,azmuth,skew) are good then it has to be the lnb or something bent on the dish assembly(cheap stamped parts).
