Re: unprofessional appearance

"I understand the basics of everything"
"i quit in a short time because could not stand to see hwo bad the customers were getting hosed and all the damage the mounts to the roofs caused"

your the PRIME EXAMPLE of the pot calling the kettle black. More than likely your sitting at the library computers right now because you cant seem to hold a job OR your working at the waffle house.

Damage to a roof WILL NOT occur if it is done right.  Customers arent getting hosed by the respectable installers that have backbone. Yes i have seen alot of installers charging for things that they have no business charging for. But if you have backbone and any kind of common sense you can succeed in Satellite installations. Find the right company, do the work.. and support your family. I have been thru several 'contracting companies' I am owed around 25000 bucks from several companies. It wasnt hard for me to figure out.. that DNS, OR DTV Home services are NOT the people to work for. I have worked for a few RETAILERS and they havent shorted me one red cent. as a matter of fact the DTV Retailer i work for now i have been with for 2 years and have NO complaints on the paycheck.  They back me up if i have to charge extra for a custom installation or mount. Grow some balls dude.. if your going to sit here and bad mouth the industry, get out.. stay out.. and shut the hell up. Its people like you that give the industry a bad name just by your mouth. Im guessing the reason your 'out' is because you cant handle the requirements of the job. Alot of people in this line of work dont care for it. But it pays the bills. Its like any other job. So either do the job.. do it right.. or get the hell out and join the unemployment line. and when they ask you about your last job make sure you tell them, that you couldnt handle the stress of charging a customer for a pole, or a wall fish, etc.

Work dont come free dude.. there is a REASON we do this job. Hacking an install for dtv dish or wildblue is easy. Not everyone knows the proper way to do an install. Not everyone can peak in a ka/ku
not everyone can fish a wall. THIS IS WHY WE GET PAID TO DO IT. If everyone could do it themselves we would all be flippin flapjacks at dennys. get a grip.
