you should have mounted it to the dock pilings they dont move .. thats what i used to do in those situations.. but dont be a rookie like i was back in 1999.. my first one i didnt even think about the tide lol and it was in when i did the install so i went back the next day at low tide and replaced the ripped wire it was about a 8 foot drop.... dumb me!!!!
