Who is putting down the entire company? Eli McKay always kept his word too. I am just stating facts. Mike misled me and I am giving a word to the wise to get their negotiations in writing and signed. They do pay their subs just fine, I am talking management here. Also, I know first hand that the Corpus Christi job is totally screwed, and if I can help a fellow man out by letting them know what they would be getting into, I do. Not saying that is Protel's fault either. Time Warner has swamped the thing with splicers and the piece count per man is very low.
>Protel has always treated our crews better than most. We worked for them in Lexington and now in Tucson.
>I don't know about the Corpus Christi job, but perhaps you shouldn't put down the entire company. Protel
>has always paid us on time, their money is good, and they have always paid what we agreed. Mike and Jim
>have ALWAYS kept their word!!!

>>Sounds just like Prince Cable in North Carolina, same thing
>>They screw you around. Especially in Durham.
>>>They still owe me money. I wish someone would have warned me before I desided to do some work for them.

Mike Keyser has a knack of making situations seem much better than they are and taking chances at others expense. Make sure you get everthing in writing and his signature is on the contract. Also, watch out for the Corpus Christi, TX project. There are over 70 splicers working this project and your piece count may be 7 if your lucky and in a 5 mile node or better. If you want your money controlled, go to Corpus!
