They make clamps that screw into siding rather it be vinyl or wood.  Even the dish puppy knows not to use a freaking staple gun.  Even if you dont shoot through the copper which you will you crimp the hell out of the cabling causing signal loss.  Those plastic clamps are like 2 dollars for a bag of 50.  If you don't like using the drill they make them that nail into the siding also making your job nice and clean, but what the hell do I know.
