I make considerably more than that,although I should, been around a long time. Took a big paycut to go inhouse but after about 8yrs sleepin in motels a ruined marraige and raisng children in the rear view mirror I thought it was time. I took my lumps climbed my poles and plowed miles and miles off a cat so if I ride around all day and look at the plant its because I can. The boss man knows when tshtf I'll be ready and able to get it back up no matter what the deal is,thats what I get paid for, what I know, not what I do.
Sometimes contractors come through and make three times my pay but I go home to the kids and he goes to the campground its all in what you like I guess. I couldnt hang with a good linemen now if I had to but I'm not production either,when the storms hit I'm out at midnight or when state police call I'm out getting the shit out of the road it goes both ways,in-house isnt no cakewalk either.
