That's right. Hide that stuff  from sight as much as possible and keep the outlet as close as possible to the equipment. The obvious is usually overlooked now. I had an installer on a job that couldn't understand why he should try to go through the attic across, instead of wrapping the entire house. Minimize to maximize. He never could get the simplicity of an install. Most dysfunctional installer I ever had.
