If you feel you are getting the shaft DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT and I don't mean whine here on the bar about it...I mean have a lawyer on retainer BEFORE shit like this happens to you...Hard to retain an attorney after the fact when you're broke...Everyone sees cable as a cash cow a money tree if you will...But virtually no one seems willing to plant some seeds or have the cow studded to make more money...All people seem to be able to comprehend is take take take...
Don't under bid on a contract...That hurts everyone including yourself...Don't accept a low paying contract...They know they can screw you and you won't do anything about it because the couple of dollars won't be worth it...
