It depends if the outlet being shared is the one with the dish receiver or a secondary outlet fed from a box in another room. If it is a secondary outlet you can use 2 way splitters as they are bidirectional just as you would diplexers. But a trap has to be on the cable drop and the frequency set to feed the secondary tv must fall within the frequencys trapped out this will allow the modem and the the dish signal to travel together without diplexers. This will not work without a trap.
