Dude it's not about electrocuting people.
It's about their eletronic equipment,
IE; Comp, TV, Phone,
Grounding, Diverts a strike and not all are direct strikes, that shit can travel down the strand for miles, So grounding provides an alternitive more direct path to a more conductive location, rather than just screaming though the coax, straight to everything on the system.
And as far as water. Do that here in Fl. and your grounding to plastic,
If it ain't at power, It ain't grounded. Period,
And an 8' g-rod is only go at a ped, still need power ground @ G-Block.
