For $150 you can get a script. The counties get to decide how much is a legal amount in that county, but if they catch you growing or selling to the wrong person they throw the book at you. Cal estimates the tax revenue from legalization will bring in $365 million a year. Nevada is trying to legalize, it has passed through their state legislature once and has to pass again in 2011 to legalize, then the plan is to package and tax it like cigarettes or liquor.
