Ya know, Hookman,
It shouldn't be that way...Primestar was put up by cable companies to save money on rural installations. Cable companies usually balk at running more than 200ft from their taps. I can state from experience that satellite installation in cities sucks. The required LOS (line of sight) is often just not there. Property owner permission for the dish is a constant pain. Having a dish farm on a roof or every balcony on the south side of a building also looks crappy.
HBO is HBO and subscribers do not care how the signal gets into the box.
So, got any ideas how to discourage DTV and DISH from spreading to cities?
