You hit the nail on the head. Our fine congressmen and women are more worried about reelection than doing the job they were elected to do. This is why term limits are not an option but a neccesitiy.
And the whole arguement is ridiculous. I heard a clip today where Obama was speaking about the insurance companies and how they would not be squeezed out by the gov't plan. He said that is not true, just look at how UPS and FedEx eat the USPS's lunch. This is the lunacy that is in this arguement. They are saying the gov't can run anything better and cheaper than the private sector by pointing out that the post office is regularly beaten by private businesses.
This is why you have to see what they are doing and not listen to their words. Read the bill in question. I know it is long and has alot of legal speak in it, but it will open your eyes when you hear them speak about it. You will begin to understand how bad it really is and how big the lies are.
