1989 when they first started building the original cable system. I was doing Mdu's and installs back then... I didnt start the construction end of cable until 1990 and still did some mdus and installs up to 1994 then went all construction for the next ten years.... The company we worked for supplied the housing and work vehicles. cost of living was about 2-3 times as high as the 'States'. Some of the poles were not much bigger than tall fence posts and if you fell you could land 12 feet down on one side of the pole or 125 feet down the other side... just an example.
