While watching television yesterday, I heard something extremely disturbing.
The White House is asking people who see anything "fishy" either online or in their email accounts, that pertains to the National Health Care Bill, to forward those emails or addresses to the White House at (-REDACTED-) .
I thought about this for quite some time. I have decided to email everyone in my address book and ask them to do one of two things. I am asking them to either send the addresses of websites that have anything to do with fish, or to send the following message in the body of their email,
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
This especially goes for the one(s) here who wish to censor others' opinions and desires and become judge on something that is NOT against the law nor should it be. This means some don't get to decide what others can and can't say and yet they try. They know who they are.
I am an American who is tired of seeing the American way of life slowly slipping away from us. I am a conservative and voted Republican because I truly am worried about the direction in which our country is headed. I do not want to live in a socialist or marxist society. I am middle class and get up and go to work everyday. I ask no one to pay my way, help me buy my car, or spread their wealth. If there were town hall meetings close by, I would attend and voice my concerns. I look at this administration and am reminded of another administration- one in which children were being asked to spy on parents, books were banned and death camps became a reality. If you love your country, want to see our freedoms and way of life preserved, I encourage you to speak out. Let the congress know that we are real people with real concerns, not a group of mindless bodies that the Republican party has rounded up to use as mouthpieces.
