My wife just had a 3 disk fusion in her neck. I'm guessing that is what they are talking about doing to you? They went through her throat, put some cadavier bones in in place of 2 disk. Then they put a titanium plate with screws in each vertabre on either side of the 2 disk. Eventually the 3 disk will fuse together. It's been about 5 months and it's still not completely healed. The DR. said it would take a year to fully recover. She was off work for 21 weeks and she is a bank teller. Not sure how long a cable dawg would have to lay off.
