We use 6940 SA nodes with the 730967 Transmitters, and typically we will have 8 to 10 db pad installed in it.  The RF motherboard gets a 0 db pad for Reverse out pad.  We use loopback feature on an SDA5000 - transmit 41 dBmv at Rev Inj. test point and receive 12 dBmv at TX card Test point (no probe comp.).  This usually forces 8 to 10 dB pad to be installed.  Always, Check with your local Engineering for system specific set up.
