Once it's attached to the house, it's part of the house. You can't repo the house, but you can put a mechanics lien on the house. THAT can be filed at the courthouse. Home owner can't sell the house until you are paid. If the home owner lives there until he dies, you get paid before they can close probate on the estate.
Rather than go to jail .. Just keep filing liens on those jobs that just won't pay.
