8 years ago I got a good offer to go in house with Catskill Mtn. (owned by Mid Hudson Cablevision)
There was still lots of footage work out there at the time, most of it on the road, no big deal I've spent most of my time on the road in this biz. I made the call and never looked back 'til now. Job is stable, (they tell me I've got a future when I'm too old for the line) married an old flame, (that the road came between) got close with my daughter (another casulity of the road) and bought a house. One of the best decisions I ever made in my life. Ain't gettin' rich but I am makin' a decent livin'. Ain't tryin' to rub nothin' in, I feel for all the Dawgs out there strugglin' for work. If the oppertunity comes up, grab it, it ain't a bad life.
