DUDE, not sure what numbers you are coming up with but when I was working in Phoenix those "inhouse" Directv guys were making 13 dollars an hour
If you are making 13 dollars an hour installing Directv as a contractor then you are a retard. If you are working inhouse and accepted a job making 13 dollars an hour then I don't know what to tell ya. The math is, by far, more conducive to work as a contractor. That is saying that you have time management and people skills..
